Here we are just after the New Year and plenty of people are making their New Year’s resolutions to really lose the Fat this year and keep it off. The problem is that the majority of these people who are making these Fat loss resolutions find themselves making the same resolution to lose the Fat each and every year. How can we ensure that we really follow through with the plan this year so we don’t have to make the same resolution again next year?
There is a reason why people are overFat, and it is not as simple as just eating too much or not working out enough. It is the mindset that we have as individuals that control and regulate our lives on a daily basis. It is this mindset that puts us into unhealthy patterns and unhealthy habits. In order to follow through with our Fat loss goals, we have to do more than say that we are going to eat better and work out more. We need to change our mindset towards succeeding and changing our daily habits to more healthy ones.
Instead of verbally recognizing or mentioning to yourself your Fat loss goals this year, write them down and put them somewhere where you are going to see them each and every day. Tell others about your goals and try to stay away from temptations and people that are going to hinder your performance with following through. When you write them down and see them constantly, you will begin to feel a responsibility to make sure that you are keeping up with them and your good friends that want you to succeed will help you along the way. This will also help you take ownership of your goals to make sure you follow through.
Of course it is not going to be easy…at first, but once you start changing your daily habits, over time these new healthy habits will kick in and they will be just as hard to break as your bad habits once were. It is just the initial first four weeks that you have to get over to start to really feel the change in the way you live your life.
Going to the gym and your new relationship with healthy foods will not only make you look and feel better, but I can also guarantee that your self confidence will improve and others around you will notice as well. Then finally you will have broken your bad habits and will never want to go back.
