It’s not just in December — for many of us, festive seasons dot the calendar. That means lots of people, lots of fun, and lots of food. Is there any way to enjoy the season without suffering from the indigestion, heartburn, and Fat gain afterwards? Here’s how to stay ahead during the celebrations.
#1 – Stay flexible, even with your limitations. You may go into the festive seasons consciously telling yourself not to overeat, to stay away from sugar, etc. — but don’t be too hard on yourself. Be flexible and willing to forgive small weaknesses, otherwise the festive seasons won’t be so fun for you.
#2 – Find ways to increase activity during the season. In December, for instance, a good way to get a little extra exercise is by ticking off items on your Christmas list. (All that extra walking DOES add up!) Volunteer to do much of the legwork when your household is preparing for festivities. Not only will you offset the extra calories you’ll be taking in, but you’ll get into the holiday spirit more easily, too.
#3 – Take a good fiber supplement. Fiber is a good appetite suppressant, so regularly taking a fiber supplement will keep you feeling full longer, so the tendency to overeat goes down dramatically. Organic fruits and vegetables are great sources of fiber, but it also helps to have a good supplement to help you out.
To get started, look for a good Acai berry supplement. Acai has great amounts of fiber, in addition to energy-giving protein, cancer-fighting antioxidants, and various vitamins and minerals. Acai is also a popular, effective Fat loss aid, so it’s just what the doctor ordered for the holidays.
