If you want to lose Fat, you’ll have to work hard at it. Exercise and a good and balanced diet is what you should look at when you are trying to lose Fat. But there are some people who diet and exercise but seem to be stuck with the Fat that they are trying to lose.
The logic behind losing Fat is simple: burn the calories that you consume. So if you are not losing Fat, here is what you could be doing wrong:
Not enough exercise…Expecting a lot for doing very little…
To change the shape of your body you shall have to put in a lot of exercise. The more overFat you are, the harder you shall have to work!
So if by running thirty minutes a day you feel you should be losing Fat, you are wrong! Unless you have a medium to high intensity cardio work out for a period of thirty minutes, done five days a week coupled with Fat and strength training exercises, chances of you losing Fat are remote.
If your exercise routine is not challenging then you shall not be burning the fat that you need to in order to lose Fat!
Lack of sleep…
As strange as it may sound, lack of sleep plays havoc in wrecking Fat loss programs. Research also shows that in some cases, lack of sleep has led to Fat gain. This is probably because lack of sleep can reduce metabolism and make it slack.
Less sleep also tends to make you “feel” hungry even when you are not! This is also a major contributory factor that makes people sluggish and thus slows down Fat loss.
Stress…Not managing your emotions properly…
If you are stressed out then Fat loss is going to be a problem. Constant stress releases a hormone called Cortisol that leads to an increase in appetite.
It is because of this hormone that extra fat tends to get stored around the stomach making you look and feel bloated and fat. It is also leads to emotional eating that comprises mainly of comfort foods such as sweets and fried stuff.
Trying to relax for a couple of minutes every day can be beneficial in this context. Try some breathing exercises, yoga or go for a massage that takes the stress off.
Equal input and output…
You exercise for an hour a day and then come back and eat a full meal. This is one of the biggest reasons that impair Fat loss. Exercise burns energy which makes us hungry.
By eating the right amount of food or eating in moderation, our body is able to burn the excess reserve fat and facilitate Fat loss. By eating as much as you want just because you have been exercising, you do not count your intake of calories and end up consuming as many calories that you have burnt.
You shall have to eat less to create the calorie shortage in your body by eating small meals. Don’t starve yourself but don’t overeat as well just because you are exercising!
