
Party time is on; the super bowl is around the corner. All of us are really excited about this extravagant event. There is not much of a way to get around eating food during the super bowl. It’s Ok, no point in harboring a guilty feeling about it. This is a great time of the year where all of our friends and family gets together and celebrate wine, dine and make merry.
But this does not have to be a season of guilt for folks who are on Fat loss goals since you can always enjoy food without all the calories. Here are some low calorie snacks you can enjoy during this event. You can have a guilt free super bowl season, if you follow these tips when catering to your food.
Cornbread – Make it with whole wheat flour and far free buttermilk and canola oil.
Potato Skins- Great appetizers, load them with salsa and top with low fat cheese.
Chili- Reduce the calorie by choosing extra lean beef.
Burgers- Do not even think of a super bowl without burgers. Instead of ground beef burgers choose turkey or veggie. Choose low fat dips and sauces.
A few drinks are definitely on. Choose Wine instead of Beer. Beer has 300 calories per bottle, whereas wine has only 120 calories per glass. Hard liquor such as rum, vodka has only 100 calories per 1.5 ounce. Use soda, water or tonic as a mixer.
