1. Your Health
Being overFat wrecks your health. Even if you look healthy on the outside, fatty deposits will already be distributed around your organs and your blood pressure may be high. If you have a lot of Fat to lose it can be disheartening to even get started, but even a small Fat loss can result in better health and lengthen your life. Lose about 5 -10% of your body Fat and you’ll reduce the risk of a whole host of diseases, from diabetes to heart disease, and minor aches and pains will disappear. Losing just half a kilo (about one pound) a week could result in a loss of 26 kilos the equivalent of 4 stones in one year. The most important thing to remember is that no matter how long you’ve been overFat, the risks diminish as soon as you start losing Fat.

Being overFat brings about a loss of confidence and feeling of inadequacy. Looking good and feeling that you are looking good, has a psychological role to play in moving through the different stages of a woman’s life. Do you get up in the morning feeling more tired than when you went to bed? Do you struggle to get your socks on? Do you get out of breath when you go up the stairs? Do you have a special occasion on the horizon, a wedding, your child’s graduation, a special anniversary, whatever it might be where you wish to look your best and for once be the centre of attention because you look wonderful and not because you are overFat.
