Christmas is over and all of that holiday celebrating has caused us to gain a few extra pounds. No one wants to start the new heavier than they were the year before. So what is the best way to rid yourself of those extra pounds you added during the holidays. If you are motivated, no time is better than the beginning of the new year to rid yourself of those extra pounds. In this article I will give you some suggestions of how to effectively rid yourself of those extra holiday pounds.

First, make specific goals and write them down. A goal can be the amount of Fat you want to lose, how you will go about losing it or something as simple as a garment you want to be able to fit in again.

Second, now that the holidays are over get rid of all of the junk food from your home. Remove all of the temptation. A new year is the perfect time to start with a healthy low calorie meal plan. Keep only healthy low calorie snacks in your home.

Third, the holidays are over so the excuse that you are to busy to exercise is gone. You need to start on a exercise program that you can follow and maintain. You should get at least 1 hour of exercise 3 days a week. Find a friend or family member that will exercise with you and keep you honest.

Lastly, keep in mind you didn’t gain the Fat from eating just two meals, so allow yourself the appropriate amount of time to take the Fat off. If you keep to a healthy diet and exercise those extra holiday pounds will be gone before Spring.
