Is This Number 1 Myth of Fat Loss Costing You Money?

diet fat loss tips

If you are like most people, you are struggling to lose Fat. You may have been guided by falsehood that either makes losing Fat difficult or totally impossible.

Because of the lies, you bought the latest home gym equipments, fad diets, Fat loss powders, pills and potions. But the only thing you lose is your money. You gain even more fat.

And to make matters worse, you end up getting depressed and frustrated. Why? Because you see no result and worse yet, you’re fatter (ouch!) than when you started. Miserable, isn’t it?

Today, I’m debunking the Number 1 myth of fat loss and fitness that have kept you from the body of your dreams and from feeling good about yourself. This truth will set you free of that excess fat.

But first, a fair warning: This may contradict what you believe to be true about diet and fitness. So get prepared.

Myth: You Can Reduce Fat In a Certain Area of Your Body By Exercising Specific Muscles In That Area

Fact: This is fallacious. Specific muscles being exercised have no control over where you lose fat the most.

This myth, also known as Spot Reduction, says that you can exercise a certain area of the body (for example, the belly) so that you lose fat only in that area. But this is a fallacy and here’s why:

The muscles being exercised do not determine where you burn the most fat

Here’s what I mean:

If you want to lose belly fat, you may decide to spend several hours, several days a week doing sit-ups. But simply because you are exercising the muscles in the belly doesn’t mean that you would lose fat more in the belly than elsewhere.

You heard me right. The truth is:

You burn fat from body areas in genetically pre-determined patterns that have no bearing with the muscles you’re exercising. So now you know why you don’t have that great abs yet even after those many sit-ups. If you’re burning fat at all, you’re burning it all over the body. And where you burn the most fat is determined by genetics.

It’s a pity that over the years these lies have been promoted by many. And as a result, you and millions of others are losing money and time instead of losing fat. You are buying one exercise equipment after another.

And when you don’t get the results that are advertised, you get frustrated. Then you gain nothing but even more fat. It’s not your fault. Many in the health and fitness industry are out to empty your pocket and fill up theirs.

But now you know the truth. So what next?
