Mental Barriers to Fat Loss
No one is free from negative thoughts, research tells us we have a new thought every few seconds so it is understandable to imagine that at least some of those thought will be unkind or even destructive.
When you set out to lose Fat you can feel like your brain is getting bombarded by these negative thoughts, “I don’t know if I can do this.” “I have tried this before and failed.” “How am I going to lose Fat with my crazy work schedule.”
If you do not have a way to handle these negative thoughts they will defeat you even before you start your diet. So what can you do? The key is to first hear the limiting thought and then disrupt it before it has a chance to grow. For instance if you allow one of these thoughts to stay in your head you will build it into a mountain of negativity. “I don’t know if I can do this.” easily grows into “Even if I do succeed I will never keep the Fat off…I was just born to be fat and I may as well accept it…”
To move past this mental barrier to Fat loss you will want to disrupt the thought before it grows and defeats you and you do this by simply canceling the negative thought. When you hear a negative or limiting thought your only job is to say CANCEL. This disrupt the thought and allows you to refocus on your goal.
