<p>A typical McDonald&#8217;s meal, burger, fries, and soda, come to an astounding 1,100 calories. That is nearly a total day&#8217;s allotment of calories for the typical 140 pounds women trying to lose Fat. Choosing the right type of food is imperative to achieving your goal of Fat loss.<br />

The first step is to avoid eating out whenever possible. Learning to plan your meals ahead of time at home will go a long way in fueling your body with the correct type of food but also will reduce the burden on your wallet. Set aside about fifteen minutes once a week to take an inventory of your kitchen and to plan your meals for the rest of the week.</p>

<p>Many people start out on a program with no direct plan on what they want to achieve or how they are going to do it. That&#8217;s why many people fail at losing Fat. It isn&#8217;t necessarily a lack of willpower but the inability to follow a dream with no direction. You wouldn&#8217;t expect yourself to be able to drive somewhere you&#8217;ve never been before without a map, would you?<br />
<span id="more-2559"></span><br />
To begin the process known as goal setting, you must first find your motivation. This will be the thing that keeps you going when you want to quit. This will be the thing that forces you to take a good, hard look in the mirror when you don&#8217;t feel like pushing yourself further. Maybe you have a special occasion that you absolutely need to look great for or a medical condition that requires you to lose Fat. Either way, right now is the perfect time to make this goal stick.</p>
<p>Once you have identified your motivations, you can continue the process by creating a specific goal that is attainable but requires dedication to do it. An example could be to do your cardio workout three times per week. This is an easily achievable goal but will require you to dedicate your time to making it happen.</p>
<p>Make your goal into a scheduled event by creating a journal and scheduler to put your goals in and set time frames with. Give yourself a four to six week window to accomplish your current goal before moving onto a new one. A fitness journal can be more than just a place to write your goals &#8211; write about the emotions you feel before, during, and after you accomplish a goal to help entice you to push on.</p>
<p>The idea behind the journal is to set up a series of goals, realistic and accomplishable, over the course of four to six weeks which will provide an incentive to keep working hard. For example, week one and two, you are going to perform a cardiovascular workout three times per week for 30 minutes with at least two strength training sessions to lose 2 &#8211; 4 pounds. Week three and four, you are going to increase the workout frequency to 45 minutes along with three strength training workouts for a total loss of 6 &#8211; 7 pounds. Week five and six, you are going to increase your strength training sessions to a total of four per week with four cardiovascular sessions, and begin increasing the intensity of your workout to lose a total 10 pounds. These goals are achievable, realistic, and best of all, will produce the results you are looking for with hard work.</p>
<p>You can accomplish anything you put your mind to &#8211; it&#8217;s just a matter of finding your motivational factor that allows you to do that.</p>

<p>Walking, yes walking is what I believe is one of the best ways to shed some extra pounds.</p>
<p>Actually in all fairness I don&#8217;t believe that any exercise is the secret to shedding fat. I believe Fat loss happens through expending more calories than we consume and so you can do that with any activity of your choice. However I believe walking has some major advantages making it a clear winner.<br />
<span id="more-2173"></span><br />
First off, there are the obvious reasons. Waking is rather easy and as I always say you want to make things as easy as possible when you are tackling a difficult task such as Fat loss.</p>
<p>You can walk anywhere, at any time and for little to no cost.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t need any special training, no special equipment, no special environments (Like a court or a course) and you don&#8217;t need to learn much to get started.</p>
<p>Walking can be as easy as a stroll through the neighborhood or as challenging as hiking up a mountain trail so no matter how hard core you are there is a walking style for you. Because it&#8217;s so easy on the body you don&#8217;t typically need a lot of time to recover from a &#8220;workout.&#8221; So where walking lacks for intensity it can more than make up for it through volume because it&#8217;s something you can do multiple times a day rather than a couple of times a week.</p>
<p>Because it&#8217;s so easy to do, you can do it at the drop of a hat so if you find yourself with 20 minutes to kill between meetings you can go for a walk. In this way, it&#8217;s much easier to fit more activity into your entire day (every day) rather than just one single one hour trip to the gym every couple of days.</p>
<p>I also find it&#8217;s much easier to motivate myself to go for a walk. You just step out your front door and keep going. After all, what seems much easier, getting up early and driving to a gym with bright lights, loud trainers and heavy Fats or just waking up and stepping out your front door?</p>
<p>Walking is also the perfect time for me to clear my head. It forces me to shut out the rest of the world for a while and let my inner dialogue finally get a word in. Other times I just prefer to load up my I-pod and catch up on my pod-casts so I learn a little something along the way. <p>Finally walking can be a bit of a social activity. You can do it with anyone, even your dog and everyone can get some quality time together.</p>

You might think it is a possible to lose Fat even while eating at restaurants but it is possible. You can actually enjoy a tasty and nutritious meal at most establishments but you have to know and make the proper food choices.<span id="more-2032"></span></p>
<p>So here is how you can easily lose Fat while eating out most of the time.</p>
<p>Tell your server person to forget about the breadbasket. If you can avoid eating bread you will be saving yourself from consuming so many unnecessary calories that contain no nutrition at all but they will definitely contribute to the fat deposits all your belly, hips, buttocks and thighs.</p>
<p>Forget about drinking alcoholic beverages and a soda. These too have far too many calories and will increase the jiggle when you walk and not in a good way. Instead drink a nice cold glass of water with lemon and you can even add a sugar replacement for sweetener to give it a little more taste.</p>
<p>Order a huge salad topped with tons of vegetables. If you are extremely hungry order two salads. For the salad dressing avoid the cream and cheese dressing. Try an oil and vinegar dressing and add spices like oregano, etc&#8230;</p>
<p>Now for your main dish order a lean piece of meat, chicken or fish preferably grilled and definitely not in a cream sauce or any other calorie dense dressing. Of course as a side dish you should request a multitude of vegetables that are seasoned with a multitude delicious spices but definitely not butter.</p>
<p>Take the time to slow down and enjoy this meal. Savor each and every bite and mouthful and chew slowly. Allow your body time to digest the food.</p>
<p>For dessert eat whatever type of fresh fruit that they are serving.</p>
<p>Finish off the meal with a nice cup of hot tea with lemon.</p>

<p>It is January and time to lose those extra pounds you gained over the holidays. The beginning of a new year is a great time to start a new eating plan. Losing Fat is one of the most common new year resolutions, but it is much easier said then done. This goal can be achieved if you follow some of the suggestions I will give you in the follow article.<br />
<span id="more-1952"></span><br />
First, get rid of all the junk food in your refrigerator and cabinets.That means left over cookies, cakes and candy. It is better to throw them in the garbage than you eat them. Pour all those high calorie drinks down the drain.</p>
<p>Secondly, being aware of what you eat is essential, therefore it is imperative that you keep a food diary. Get yourself a journal and start writing down everything you eat in a day. At the end of the day total up the calories you have eaten for the day. If the calories are too many you must start cutting back.</p>
<p>Third, you must learn to eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day. One, because they are healthy for you and secondly they will fill you up without too many calories. Have4 a good supply of vegetables cut up in the fridge so when you get hungry you have something to reach for.</p>
<p>Fourth, you want to start adding whole grain breads and cereals to your diet. You may want to start cooking with them also.</p>
<p>Fifth, read labels before purchasing a product you want to start watching your fat intake by cutting your fats down by 20% you will notice a Fat loss.</p>
<p>Sixth, make sure your diet includes at least 8 glasses of water a day. Water makes you feel food while hydrating your body and flushing fat out. Start limiting the amount of beverages you drink with caffeine. Learn there than be life without caffeine.</p>
<p>Lastly, no new year Fat loss plan would be complete without mentioning exercise. There is no one exercise that guarantees a Fat loss. What will work is that you choose an exercise that you will commit to doing at least 3x a week for at least 30 minutes. Good intentions are not enough you must commit to your exercise regime in order to lose the desired Fat.</p>

<p>This means that we should strive for a favourable body composition and this puts strength/resistance training into the equation. Indeed strength training and mainly training with free Fats could considerably help towards Fat/fat loss for the following reasons:</p>
<p>1. It helps shed a lot of fat if it is intense and with minimum breaks.</p>
<p>2. It helps add more metabolically active muscle mass.</p>
<p>3. Done right it gives an appreciable afterburn/EPOC.</p>
<p>Concluding, I have to stress that a sound,supportive and clean nutrition plan can enhance our hard efforts, whereas a lousy one can sabotage even the most excellent training routines.</p>

<p>&#8220;I want to lose Fat and stop drinking so much diet coke. My doctor says I have to as my blood pressure higher and higher.&#8221;</p>
<p>My client, &#8220;Dora&#8221; was sharing her frustration of being on various diets and programs to reduce her Fat and eat healthier.</p>
<p>I asked Dora to tell me more. How did she feel about her situation?<span id="more-1825"></span></p>
<p>&#8220;I feel hopeless. As long as I remember I&#8217;ve been struggling with Fat. My mother thought I was chunky and had made comments for as long as I remember that &#8216;Dora you have such a pretty face, if you just lost a few pounds you would be more attractive.&#8217;&#8221;</p>
<p>Dora shared that her mother had Fat issues too, in fact she often made herself and Dora a different meal at dinner time.</p>
<p>&#8220;How did that make you feel?&#8221; I asked.</p>
<p>&#8220;I hated it. I wanted to eat like everyone else. Especially when going to school. My mom was a health freak, so I was eating dry rye bread with a thin piece of meat and iceburg lettuce on it while my sister had PB and J sandwiches (Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches). It was so unfair.&#8221;</p>
<p>Dora&#8217;s voice was getting higher and stronger. I took a rating of her feeling of it being unfair. It was about a 9.</p>
<p>We tapped (did EFT) on this feeling of unfairness and this clear memory of eating her rye bread sandwich.</p>
<p>&#8220;Take a deep breath Dora,&#8221; I told her. She did. &#8220;What is coming up for you?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;You know, I feel for my mom. I was angry when we were first tapping but now I feel bad, she has had Fat problems all her life. She told me she was made fun of at school and by her family.&#8221; Dora paused and then laughed.</p>
<p>&#8220;Crazy as this sounds, I did feel sort of special when mom and I went to her jazzercise (exercise) class and was the only kid in there. Mom would announce to our family that &#8216;Dora and I are going to our class, you&#8217;ll have to make dinner for yourselves.&#8217;</p>
<p>&#8220;Dora, I have an odd question to ask you. I want you to answer whatever first comes to mind and take your time answering it.&#8221; I paused and waited until she was ready.</p>
<p>&#8220;When you finally lose the Fat that you have trying to get rid of all these years, what else will you lose?&#8221;</p>
<p>I waited.</p>
<p>&#8220;I am much closer to mom than my older sister.&#8221; Dora let out a heavy sigh. &#8220;Maybe I am afraid to let go of my mom, I mean we bonded over our Fat.&#8221;</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve seen over and over that often there is something that we are afraid to lose when the Fat comes off. This is why at the right time, I often ask this question.</p>
<p>&#8220;What will you lose?&#8221;</p>
<p>As you are using EFT for Fat loss I encourage you to ask this question, &#8220;what will I lose besides the Fat?&#8221; You can even tap the question to get the answer, and I will share how to do that in a future article.</p>
<p>And Dora?</p>
<p>She&#8217;s doing well. She&#8217;s drinking much less diet coke (I taught her how to use EFT for this craving) and is realizing that there is a part of her that is wanting to let go of some co-dependence with her mom.</p>
<p>And now Dora smiles when she thinks of jazzercise.</p>
