<p>A few years ago the belief was that it was possible to watch your food and drinks from Monday to Friday, and eat what you wanted on the weekends, or at least one or two weekend dinners and still lose Fat. That was then, when restaurant meals were not 2500 calories or more. Now it&#8217;s not possible for most typical dieters. Even working out 3 or 4 days a week is not enough to make up for some of the very bad &#8220;cheat meals.&#8221;<br />
<span id="more-2442"></span><br />
&#8220;Cheat meals&#8221; were the the meals we could all look forward to let our hair down and give in to urges. We used to think having a &#8220;cheat meal&#8221; would satisfy cravings and lower the pressure to be careful every day.</p>
<p>The problems are due to the really high calorie, large portion meals some of us eat. Here are more details:</p>
<p>How many calories to maintain our body Fat: just multiply Fat in lbs. x following factor:</p>
<p>Gender&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..inactive&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..active</p>
<p>women&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;10 x Fat&#8230;&#8230;.12 x Fat</p>
<p>men&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.13 x Fat&#8230;&#8230;..15 x Fat</p>
<p>Example, a women who weighs 160 lb. and is inactive needs to eat 10 x 160 or 1600 calories a day. It would rise to 1820 if she was active.</p>
<p>Effect of one &#8220;cheat meal&#8221; a week without exercise:</p>
<p>A typical inactive women dieter weighing 160 lbs. needs to reduce her calories from 1600 to a little over 1100 a day to lose 1 lbs. per week: (1600-1100 = 500 calories less a day, 500 x 7 days =3500 calorie savings a week), this works out to a little more than 1 lbs. a week Fat loss. A man who weighs 200 lb. needs to cut calories down from 2600 to 1500, which then would save 1100 calories a day. Over a week that represents about 2 lb. Fat loss.</p>
<p>Many meals eaten in Italian, Mexican and other restaurants can easily top 2500 calories or even more. Using 2500 calories as an example, subtract 800 calories for a meal that could have been eaten instead of the &#8220;cheat&#8221; and you get an extra 1700 calories for the one &#8220;cheat meal.&#8221;</p>
<p>Take the extra 1700 calories and think in terms of how many calories does the one cheat meal add to the daily intake over the week: 1700 cal/7 days or 240 calories a day. For women the one cheat meal a week reduces their 500 calories to only 260 calories and cuts their weekly Fat loss down.</p>
<p>Add two cheat meals a week, say Saturday and Sunday, and the total calorie savings per day is reduced to almost 0&#8211; thus no Fat loss.</p>
<p>Effect of one &#8220;cheat meal&#8221; a week with exercise:</p>
<p>As one would expect, adding exercise provides a little more room for the &#8220;cheat&#8221; but not as much as one might think. If the dieter were to burn 400 calories three times a week( 40-50 minutes on a treadmill), the daily average calories would be 1200 divided by 7 days, or 175 calories a day. Not enough to make up for the single &#8220;cheat&#8221; meal.</p>
<p>Here are some of the factors making cheating so difficultt</p>
<p>* Our metabolism slows down as we age, lowering our daily calorie requirements. Yet 1 lb. remains 3500 calories and walking one mile consumes the same 100 calories.</p>
<p>* Restaurants are serving larger and larger amounts, and people are eating these huge portions</p>
<p>* Compensation by exercise is usually exaggerated, and the calories are almost always less than what one might think.</p>
<p>*Exercise often increases hunger and sets up a &#8220;reward&#8221; system where the dieter exercises all week, and thinks that gives him license to pig out on the weekends.</p>
<p>Think &#8220;Cheat Meals&#8217; are not so bad? Here are the entrees without the salads, drinks, butter, bread and deserts:</p>
<p>- Tony Roma&#8217;s ribs, fries and onion rings- 2800 calories<br />
- Chili&#8217;s Big Mouth Bites with French fries &#8211; 2,350 calories<br />
- Olive Garden Tour of Italy, with lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine alfredo- 1,450 calories<br />
- The Cheesecake Factory Fried Macaroni and Cheese- 1,570 calories<br />
- Macaroni Grill- Pasta and meat balls- 1400 calories<br />
- PF Chang&#8217;s Pepper Steak and rice: 1900 calories<br />
- Uno Chicago Grill&#8217;s Mega-Sized Deep Dish Sundae-2,800 calorie<br />
- Outback Blooming Onion: 1900 calories<br />
- The Cheesecake Factory&#8217;s Chicken and Biscuits- 2,500 calories<br />
- Applebee&#8217;s Quesadilla Burger with fries-1,820 calories<br />
- The Cheesecake Factory Philly Style Flat Iron Steak with fries- 2,320<br />
- Apple bee&#8217;s Quesadilla Burger -1,820 calories<br />
- T.G.I. Friday&#8217;s BBQ Chicken Wrap -1,720 calories C<br />
- Cheesecake Factory Kids&#8217; Pasta with Alfredo Sauce-1,803</p>
<p>Remember these are just the entrees, many of these meals can top 2500 or even 3500 calories. All of this adds Fat gain. More important the dieter has not learned anything. The secret to having fun on the week end is to learn to go out and make better choices which are just as appealing.</p>

<p>Have you ever started a diet, then stopped quickly after because you realized it was not working near as well as it should have been? I am sure you were wondering why it worked for someone else but not for you. The answer is simple, your body responds differently to different things. If one diet worked for everyone, then everyone would be healthy.</p>
<p>2-What should you do?</p>
<p>The most important thing for you to do right from the start is to actually create a food log for yourself. I want you to write down everything you have throughout the day, and make sure you include the total number or calories, carbs, and proteins. I know counting calories is not fun but it needs to be done for the first few weeks so you know how many you should eat. But once those weeks are up you never have to do it again!</p>
<p>3-Set up your meals</p>
<p>Once you have figured out how many calories your body needs in order to lose about one pound per week, you need to set up your meals based off of those calories. For Fat loss it is best to have six meals per day to keep your metabolism running fast.</p>

So I began going to the gym. First time, I was completely exhausted. After two hours exercises, it was hard for me to go back at home. So after that, I asked myself &#8220;Is this really necessary?&#8221; For example, the diet above was told to me by my aunt. Furthermore, the GYM hint was given by a friend at school. Yes, but after I tried these ways, I was fully disappointed. I thought nobody can help me. Maybe you are now in the exact situation! I recommend to use our diet or to try the method with the GYM.</p>

<p>If you are like most of us, your stomach is one of your problem areas when it comes to losing Fat. <p>There are several lower abs exercises that will work if you do them on a consistent basis. However, you can tone and tighten specific areas of your body using specialized exercises. For instance, yoga is well known to tone and tighten the body while making the muscles more flexible and elongated.</p>

Now start to pedal as if you are on a bicycle while you are touching one knee to the opposite elbow each time. You will certainly feel this exercise in the lower abdominal area!</p>
<p>When looking for a lower abs exercise that will work for you, it is imperative to note that anything will work as long as you do it on a regular basis.</p>
<p>Of course, you also must change your eating habits and eat a diet higher in protein and lower in simple carbohydrates. You want to avoid simple sugars and a lot of fatty foods as well.</p>

Frankly speaking, your food does not have to be so boring and bland. It can actually be delicious and yet, you can lose Fat at the same time. The best of both worlds.<br />

What kind of food will come to mind when I ask you to change your food intake to a new food regime?</p>
<p>Most people will think of the following food, which people often termed as boring:</p>
<p>- dry plain chicken breasts<br />
- steam broccoli<br />
- tuna<br />
- whole meal bread<br />
- oatmeal</p>
<p>These foods above are what people commonly associate with what bodybuilders will eat in order to lose Fat. And it is also the same reason why so many people will eventually lose their fight in their Fat loss attempts. But fret not, there are some things which you can do today which will make your life easier, and healthier with the food you eat. It should allow you to stay lean and keep it that way permanently.</p>
<p>The type of food I am talking about is known as unprocessed foods. Our taste buds have been used to so many types of processed foods and additives such that we have lost the ability to enjoy unprocessed foods.</p>
<p>Problems with processed food:</p>
<p>- There are too much corn syrups and sugar in such food<br />
- A number of food have too much trans fats and refined vegetable oils<br />
- There are too much flavor enhancers like MSG and commercial salt<br />
- And certain &#8220;so call&#8221; diet drinks contains too much artificial sweeteners</p>
<p>All of the above have left us with a senseless taste buds. So it is time for us to adjust to the natural flavors that these foods possessed.</p>
<p>I have a number of suggestions that can help you in your transition from processed food to unprocessed food.</p>
<p>1 &#8211; If you can, try avoiding fried foods.</p>
<p>2 &#8211; Use less salt. Instead, try to use more herbs and spices while you are cooking your meals.</p>
<p>3 &#8211; If you have a habit of consuming cakes, candies and sweets, maybe you can try eating fruits or dark chocolate instead.</p>
<p>4 &#8211; Stop drinking soft drinks, and lay off those diet soda drinks as well. Start drinking water or unsweetened tea with your meals.</p>
<p>5 &#8211; Food like fish, chicken breasts, pork tenderloin and grass-fed steaks have great taste and it is real meat. Stop eating the stuff like sausages and hot dogs.</p>

<p>There are a lot of Moms that are discouraged and humiliated because they have not been able to lose Fat after having a baby. They may be asking can I lose Fat after having a baby? Maybe you have felt like it is too late for losing baby Fat, you think just because it has it has been a while since you had the baby that your body will not want to let go of the Fat. Allow me to tell you why this is not true and some things that you can do to help yourself that extra Fat that you are caring around.<span id="more-1720"></span></p>
<p>With my first child I gained a whopping 60 pounds. I did not realize how quickly I had put the Fat on but after I went to the store and went from a size 4 before pregnancy and then to a size 15 I about fainted. At that time I did not feel like I had the time to work out or to eat right so I just let the Fat go. Finally my Fat settled down and would not budge. I was at about 15 pounds higher than I wanted to be. I was not sure what I should do and I was quite upset. I thought that since I had not worked hard to get the Fat off right away that I would not be able to get the Fat off at all.</p>
