
Breakfast gives us energy that helps keep us active all morning long. It also helps to curb cravings and limit eating more later on in the day. If you do not give your body the help it needs, it will try turning carbohydrates into fat for fuel and this can leave you eating more later and feeling run down and even moody throughout your morning.
Many people think that breakfast just limits them to eggs, toast, cereal, bagels, or muffins, but this is not true. In reality the body does not mind that you are putting “breakfast food” in your body in the morning as long as it is nutritious and provides the body with energy. You can eat rice and vegetables, or cheese and toast, or a piece of fruit or even popcorn. If you still are not satisfied you can try something with more protein like peanut butter and toast or cheese and crackers. You can also try grabbing a yogurt as you head out the door to start your day.
The point is breakfast is an important meal and skipping it can lead to snacking and overeating later which could throw your whole day and diet off track. It can also leave you feeling unmotivated to exercise too. If you want to stay on track and lose Fat, then get creative and think of ways to fit a healthy breakfast into your day every day. It will not only make you healthier but happier too for a long time into the future.
